Agenda
The Scuola in the City
In a constant dialogue with the public, the Scuola Grande San Giovanni Evangelista presents a programme of meetings entitled The Scuola in the City. These are cultural meetings for discovering the evolutionary dynamics of the building and more, thanks to Venetian teachers of architecture, scholars and university lecturers.
Conferences on the history, art and tradition of Venice over the centuries, concerts, guided visits and book presentations are some of the cultural events offered periodically to the public.
Guided visit to the Museum
Guided visits to the Scuola Grande San Giovanni Evangelista Museum are available during the year. This is a chance to study the historic events, artistic details and architectural peculiarities of the museum complex. Still the home of the lay brotherhood founded in 1261, the Scuola Grande building extends over two floors and embraces various architectural styles, from Gothic and Renaissance to Baroque.
