Historic artistic illustration of the museum complex
The guided visit to the museum includes the Scuola Grande, the church of San Giovanni Evangelista, the Campiello della Scuola and the Campiello San Giovanni with the marble Septum, and the architecture of the access to the entire monumental complex. It is an opportunity to investigate the historic events, the artistic details and the architectural peculiarities of the museum. Still the seat of the lay brotherhood founded in 1261, the Scuola Grande building extends over two floors and embraces various architectural styles, from the Gothic to the Renaissance and Baroque.
