Concerts
There are two distinct places for hosting concerts and musical events in the monumental complex of San Giovanni Evangelista in the historical centre of Venice. The San Giovani Room, redesigned as a meeting hall in the eighteenth century by the celebrated architect Giorgio Massari, has proved to be a first-rate concert hall over the years thanks to its excellent acoustics. The coloured marble paving and various paintings by renowned artists also stand out. Its strong point is also the capacity of the room, which can host up to 300 people. Different rooms in the architectural complex can be used to accompany the concert: changing rooms for artists, ticket office, cloakroom and catering area.
The Church of San Giovanni Evangelista, founded in 970, can host up to 100 people. It contains the precious, still working, eighteenth-century organ made by G.B. Piaggia.
